3-26 Zoo Field Trip..... We will be eating at the far end of the parking lot in the picnic area before we go into the zoo. If you plan on meeting us at the zoo and have a pass. Please enter the zoo and wait for us at the front. If you did not prepay for an adult pass you will need to purchase your own ticket. Please let me know ASAP if you will be attending so I can plan accordingly and put children into groups. As of Saturday I only have 1 adult beside myself and could use some extra adult help.
3-29 and 3-30 Good touch, Bad touch Program Please look for notes in planners on Monday or Tuesday. This is a wonderful program and is very discreetly handled. But lets the children know that touching some one when they don't won't to be touched is not O.K. and they should let an adult (mom, dad, me, etc.) know right away and not to be scared.

Book of the Month

This month's book of the month is The Adventures of Livingstone Mouse by Pamela Duncan Edwards and illustrated by Henry Cole is a great story that the children have enjoyed hearing over and over. It's been our favorite Book of the Month. Livingstone Mouse is in search of China and finds may things he thinks is China. Ask your child if he finds China or not?

Monthly Homework

March's monthly homework sheet should be returned on Wednesday 3-31-10.
I need to get a count of who will be participating in the lunch bunch.
Please make sure to include parent's signature and child's name on the homework sheet.

The homework assignments are on the back of the calendar. Pick three activities each week then sign and return at the end of the month.
Wendi and I have been hosting a lunch bunch for those who have their homework sheet completed, signed and returned. If there is any one who would like to help provide hotdogs, buns, chips, fruit, and desert please let Wendi or myself know. I would love to have all the children participate. If you can't find your calendar/homework sheet please send me in a note so I can get you a new one to work on. Please send in when it is the end of the month.

Baggie Books

The children have been sooooo exited about the take home baggie books. A QUICK REMINDER THE BAGGIE BOOKS ARE FOR YOUR CHILD TO READ TO YOU, (MOMMY, DADDY, GRANDMA, GRANDPA ETC.) Please make sure to log the books that you read to them.
I would LOVE for all the children to read at least 100 books by the end of the year. The principal's goal is 25, but let's exceed that. PLEASE REMEMBER TO READ THE BOOK AND RETURN IT THE FOLLOWING SCHOOL DAY. I have begun to include a written response in the bag with the new book. Please have your child write about the book they read that night. This is just to help them get a little extra writing.

Money for school activities

Please send money for school activities ( field trips, lunches, PTA, fund raisers, ETC ) in an envelope marked as to what the money is to be used for. Please write your child's first and last name on the envelope. Thank you for cooperation.
